Our Healthcare Management certificate will provide you with what you need to make a strong impact in this increasingly competitive and complex area. Big data and predictive analytics are imperative in making healthcare management decisions today. This program will provide practical instruction on applications in data analysis, IT management, leadership, management, and the strategic thinking required to keep pace with the changing technological trends and leadership demands of our increasingly complex world.

 

UPON COMPLETING THE PROGRAM, STUDENTS WILL BE ABLE TO:

  • Apply principles of leadership in the development of strategic goals, achieving organizational outcomes and modeling professional values
  • Utilize health care information technology and statistical reasoning in organizational planning and decision-making
  • Evaluate health care outcomes using quality improvement and risk standards
  • Apply problem-solving approaches in the resolution of health care issues and digital management of health care information
  • Analyze data to improve clinical practices, organizational priorities, risk analytics, metrics, and trends

 

CERTIFICATE CREDITS

This certificate is 12 credit hours and students choose four of the following class options:

  • BUS 519 – business analytics
  • NRS 614 – Health Organization Systems & Resource Management
  • NRS 650 – Informatics in a Complex Health Care Environment
