Each faculty member in the Pamplin School of Business is dedicated to continually improving his or her curriculum to include cutting edge technology, social media, and the latest academic research developments in their classes. The quantity and quality of research by the Pamplin School of Business faculty is impressive. Click here to see a sampling of their recent publications and presentations.
In addition to being outstanding scholars, our faculty are leading innovators, consultants, and advisors. They include Arjun Chatrath, the Art Schulte Distinguished Professor who is recognized as one of the world's top finance research scholars by the Journal of Finance Literature, and Bahram Adrangi, who, in August 2012, was named the first Walter E Nelson Distinguished Professor. Dr. Yu's teaching interests include: technology and operations management, supply chain management, decision modeling, optimization, and inventory management. Her research interests include: transportation networks, supply chain networks, game theory, risk management and network optimization. She focuses on time-sensitive supply chains with applications ranging from fashion to pharmaceuticals, and food.
Also in August 2012, the Pamplin School of Business welcomed three new, tenure-track faculty members. You can learn about each of their individual backgrounds and research and teaching interests below.
Several of her research papers have appeared or are in press in such journals as: the European Journal of Operational Research, the International Journal of Production Economics, Transportation Research E, Papers in Regional Science, and Computational Management Science. In 2011, she received the Outstanding Doctoral Student Researcher Award from the Isenberg School of Management. In addition, she served as the President, Vice President, and Webmaster of the award-winning INFORMS Student Chapter at the University of Massachusetts Amherst from 2008 to 2011.
