Pamplin School of Business

The University of Portland Marketing Group (UPMG) is a student-run organization dedicated to providing experience and learning opportunities to students that are interested in any and all facets of marketing. UPMG gives students the opportunity to network with industry professionals while gaining real-world experience. Each year we help businesses in Portland better market their business, advertise, or research the current market. This year, we are working on a marketing research project for 141 Eyewear and an online marketing strategy for AlexSandra’s Vintage Emporium. Through these projects, students are given the opportunity to learn and grow outside of the classroom. We encourage each of our members to give us input on what they are interested in learning and experiencing within the marketing sphere, so that we can facilitate and create opportunities for them. Students pursuing any major are welcome to join the UPMG as marketing is applicable to any industry.
